Description:
The YHDC SCT-024TS is a mini split-core current transformer (CT) designed for accurate measurement of AC electrical systems. Its compact size and hinged/removable leg design allow for easy, non-invasive installation without disconnecting existing wiring or interrupting power. This makes it ideal for both retrofit applications, where disconnecting conductors is difficult or impossible, and new installations.
Split-core CTs like the SCT-024TS offer a significant advantage over traditional CTs by eliminating the need to break the circuit for installation. The split core opens, allowing the CT to be clamped around the conductor, simplifying the process and saving valuable time. While split-core CTs may have a slightly higher initial cost, their convenience and ease of installation often outweigh this difference, especially in retrofit scenarios.
