The Waveshare VL53L1X Distance Sensor is a sophisticated Time-of-Flight (ToF) ranging module that leverages ST's advanced VL53L1X chip, featuring their third-generation FlightSense technology. This sensor offers highly accurate distance measurements up to 4 meters with a rapid ranging frequency of up to 50 Hz.
Designed for efficiency, the VL53L1X is controlled via an I2C interface and boasts remarkably low power consumption. Compared to its predecessor, the VL53L0X, this module significantly extends the ranging capability and improves speed.
A key advantage of the VL53L1X is its integrated physical infrared filters and optics. Utilizing ST's latest ToF technology, it provides absolute distance measurement regardless of the target's color or reflectance, ensuring superior anti-interference capability for reliable performance in various environments.
