Description:
This module, built around the MQ-135 gas sensor, is specifically designed for air quality applications. It can accurately measure benzene, alcohol, and smoke, generating digital signals to trigger air treatment devices. Widely used in both consumer and industrial air quality monitors, this sensor is also effective at detecting ammonia, sulfide, and other harmful gases, while importantly avoiding interference from LPG, natural gas, or coal gas.
The MQ-135 utilizes SnO2 as its gas-sensing material, which exhibits lower conductivity in clean air. As the concentration of polluting gases increases, the sensor's conductivity rises proportionally, allowing for precise measurement. You can easily adjust the sensitivity using its built-in potentiometer. Integrate it with a simple circuit to convert conductivity changes into a corresponding gas concentration output.
