Unlike accelerometers, which provide precise digital or analog voltage outputs requiring additional processing, the SW-520D operates as a simple on/off.
The sensor's functionality relies on the internal metallic ball's movement. In an upright orientation, the ball connects the two internal contacts, completing.
When the sensor is tilted beyond its sensitivity threshold, the ball disengages from the contacts, opening the circuit. This binary (open or closed) output makes the SW-520D ideal for applications where simple motion or tilt detection is required, without the need for complex acceleration measurements.
