The RPLIDAR S2 is an advanced, low-cost two-dimensional laser ranging radar (LIDAR) designed for precise 360-degree omni-directional scanning within a 30-meter radius. This powerful device generates detailed flat point cloud maps of its surroundings, which can be used for a variety of applications such as map surveying, robot navigation, and environmental modeling.

Leveraging laser time-of-flight ranging technology, the RPLIDAR S2 is capable of performing 32,000 distance measurements per second. Its non-contact energy and signal transmission technology eliminate the lifespan constraints typically associated with traditional LIDAR systems, ensuring long-term, reliable, and stable performance.
