Description:
The underlying principle behind this heater's operation is the PTC effect. When an electric current is passed through the PTC material, the material begins to heat up. As the temperature of the material increases, its electrical resistance also increases. This rise in resistance has a crucial effect: it limits the amount of current that can flow through the heater. This inherent self-regulating mechanism provides a significant safety advantage, as it prevents the heater from overheating. As the heater approaches its designed temperature of 110 degrees Celsius, the resistance climbs, reducing the current and thus the heat output.
This compact and efficient PTC Heater Plate is designed to operate at 24V and reach a target temperature of 110 degrees Celsius. Its small form factor, measuring just 35x21x5 mm, makes it ideal for applications where space is limited. This heater plate utilizes a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) element, a type of material that exhibits a unique characteristic: its electrical resistance increases as its temperature rises.
