Description:
The MQ-8 Hydrogen Gas Sensor Module is a high-sensitivity sensor designed for detecting hydrogen (H₂) gas in the surrounding environment. Its sensitive element is made of low-conductivity tin oxide (SnO₂), which exhibits increased conductivity when exposed to hydrogen and other combustible gases. As the concentration of hydrogen in the air rises, the sensor’s conductivity changes proportionally, allowing a simple electronic circuit to convert this variation into a corresponding output signal.
This module provides accurate and reliable hydrogen detection over a wide concentration range. It is particularly effective for city gas and hydrogen leak detection, making it suitable for industrial safety systems, environmental monitoring, gas leakage alarms, and DIY electronics projects. The MQ-8 offers high sensitivity and fast response, while remaining cost-effective for a variety of applications.
