Description:
Worried about silent LPG or propane leaks in your home, kitchen or workshop? With the MQ-6 Gas Sensor Module you gain a fast-responding, reliable detector that senses combustible gases like LPG, butane, propane and natural-gas before they become a hazard.
The MQ-6 sensor module is designed for practical use in both DIY electronics and safety systems. Built around a metal-oxide semiconductor (SnO₂) sensing element, it measures changes in conductivity when combustible gases are present. It's highly sensitive to LPG (propane, butane) and suitable for integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
With dual outputs — analog (0-5 V) and digital (TTL) — you can choose to either read a continuous concentration range or trigger an alarm when a preset threshold is exceeded.
The module integrates easily: power it with 5 V DC, allow a short pre-heat time, wire the analog output to your ADC or digital output to your microcontroller, and it’s ready to monitor your environment. For example, it can be installed in kitchens, workshops, gas cylinder areas, automotive fuel-system checks, industrial safety panels, and more.
