It utilizes the VL53L0X sensor, which employs laser-based Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology to directly measure the time it takes for emitted light pulses to reflect off a target and return.

This results in precise distance readings, independent of target reflectivity, making it suitable for applications requiring reliable proximity and distance data.
