Description:
This force-sensitive resistor (FSR) offers a square sensing area of 1.75 x 1.5 inches (approximately 38.1mm). The FSR's resistance varies inversely with applied force, ranging from over 1MΩ at rest to lower values within its 100g to 10kg sensing range.
Interfacing is straightforward: create a voltage divider with a resistor and measure the voltage at the junction. An Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) connected to a microcontroller (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) can then translate this voltage into a force reading.
The FSR features 0.1" pitch pins for breadboard compatibility and a peel-and-stick backing for easy mounting. While suitable for detecting pressure or presence, FSRs are not ideal for high-precision weight measurement.
