This is a JYE Tech fully assembled tech DS0150 15001K DSO-Shell (DSO150) DIY digital oscilloscope kit. As we can see, an oscilloscope has a rarely high accuracy, which is unlike a multimeter but allows us to see the processes in the dynamics. Earlier oscilloscopes consisted of vacuum-tube which were then replaced by the transistor, but the result is still displayed on the CRT screen.

Eventually, they were replaced by their digital counterparts, smaller, lighter and more convenient. The collecting is certainly easy and even a schoolboy can do it in his own hands. The most important thing you have to do is choose a decent DIY Digital Oscilloscope Kit.

Features:

  • DSO Shell has similar bandwidth as DSO138 though it contains significant improvements in structure, mechanical, and operation.
  • Display and MCU are now mounted on the same board (mainboard), avoiding using inter-board pin headers. Users’ feedback from DSO138 has shown that soldering on the pin headers is often problematic for many beginners. The Analog channel is placed on a separate board that contains most user-installed parts. This brings in better separation between analogue and digital circuits. Without the analogue portion, the mainboard is actually a general-purpose control board that can be used in many other applications. The mainboard is fully installed (except a few through-hole components) and factory-tested before packing.
  • This DIY Digital Oscilloscope Kit comes with a full enclosure. The front panel and top/bottom brackets are flexible for easy user modification.
  • A rotary encoder has been added. It makes parameter adjustment much quicker and easier.
  • The sensitivity of DSO Shell has been extended in both directions and is higher and wider than DSO138. It reaches 5mV/div --- 20V/div while DSO138 is only 10mV/div --- 5V/div.
  • DSO Shell runs on a 9V power supply. Users need to prepare their own power supply since it is not included in the kits. The power jack on the mainboard is a 5.5mm/2.1mm DC plug. An alternative 2-pin connector (0.1" pitch) is also provided for convenience to connect to different power sources.
