Descriptions:
This DFRobot Gravity Flexible Piezo Film Vibration Sensor is a versatile, Arduino-compatible module designed to detect vibrations, flex, impacts, and even touch. It combines a flexible piezo film element with a converter board for easy integration.
The piezo film itself consists of a thin, 28µm piezoelectric PVDF polymer film with screen-printed silver ink electrodes, laminated to a 0.125mm polyester substrate. This flexible film generates a high voltage (approximately ±90V) when bent or displaced, making it highly sensitive to mechanical stress. Direct contact with the film causes deflection, effectively turning it into a flexible switch capable of directly triggering MOSFET or CMOS circuits.
The module features the plug-and-play Gravity 3-pin interface and provides both digital and analog outputs, making it adaptable to a wide range of applications. Its sensitivity is adjustable via an on-board potentiometer, allowing you to fine-tune the detection threshold for both strong shocks and subtle vibrations. Furthermore, the piezo film's wide dynamic range (0.001Hz to 1000MHz) ensures excellent performance across a broad frequency spectrum.
