Description:
This I2C-based digital I/O expansion board, driven by the versatile CH423 chip, significantly enhances the input/output capabilities of your microcontroller or single-board computer. It provides a total of 24 digital ports, conveniently accessible through the efficient I2C communication protocol. This expansion is comprised of 8 flexible General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) pins, each equipped with interrupt functionality, allowing for event-driven responses and efficient resource utilization. Additionally, it offers 16 dedicated General Purpose Output (GPO) pins for controlling external devices.
Leveraging the integrated current drive circuit within the CH423, this board delivers a consistent 15mA continuous drive current per output. This robust current sourcing capability makes it ideal for directly driving up to 24 individual LED tubes in a static configuration, ensuring reliable and bright illumination. Furthermore, it can be utilized for dynamically driving up to 128 individual LEDs, enabling the creation of complex lighting patterns and displays.
