Description:
The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 (N4) serves as a high-performance main control unit centered around the Espressif ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N4 system-on-chip. This module integrates a powerful 32-bit dual-core LX7 microprocessor operating at up to 240 MHz, coupled with 4MB of high-speed FLASH memory for program and data storage. Wireless communication is facilitated by an onboard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n transceiver and a Bluetooth 5.0 (including Bluetooth Low Energy) subsystem, ensuring reliable and low-power connectivity. A key feature of the ESP32-S3 is its integrated AI accelerator, specifically designed to boost the performance of computationally intensive machine learning tasks at the edge.
The FireBeetle 2 breaks out a wide range of GPIO pins and communication interfaces, including SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, and DAC, offering extensive hardware expandability. It supports dual power input options (e.g., USB and battery) for flexible deployment and accommodates various programming frameworks such as Arduino, ESP-IDF, and MicroPython, all within a space-efficient form factor optimized for embedded IoT and AIoT applications.
