In this tutorial, we are testing the speed of a DC motor using 12-40v 10A Power DC Motor Speed Controller

  • PWM Frequency: 13 kHz
  • Control the speed of a DC motor with this controller

With reverse polarity protection, high current protection

· The 10A fuse with the reverse connection of power supply and control voltage over-voltage protection function
can adjust the speed by the external 0-5V signal

NOTE: This can NOT be used to the BRUSHLESS motor.

· The controller is NOT reverse-polarity protected and will be damaged if it connects the supply voltage with the wrong polarity. Double-check all connections before applying power and always turn off the power supply before making any wiring changes.

CIRCUIT CONNECTION

  • First, connect the dc motor negative positive to the knob connection point.
  • Fix a gear wheel on the motor and fix it with the screwdriver.
  • Now connect the 12v.1amp adapter for power supply of controller and switch on the power and turn the knob you will see the speed variation on the wheel.
  • You can check the voltage rating using a multimeter. Connect the Positive wire of multimeter to the red wire of motor and similarly connect the black wire of Multimeter to the DC motor black wire.

WORKING AND OUTPUT

Rotate the potentiometer and you can control the speed of rotation motor.
