Description:
This RAMPS stands for Rep Rap Arduino-compatible MEGA Pololu Shield. It is built for combining all electronic components needed for your Rep Rap 3D printer on one shield. This means that you can control up to 5 stepper motors, 3 temperature sensors, 6 end switches, 1 heat bed, 1 fan and 1 extruder with this shield. Connection possibility for 5 stepper motors, 3 temperature sensors, 6 end switches, 1 heat bed, 1 fan and 1 extruder. For use with Arduino Mega 1280 and Arduino Mega 2560.
Specification:
- Supply Voltage: 12V
- Fused at 5A for additional safety and component protection
- Heated bed control with additional 11A fuse
- Pololu boards are on pin header sockets so they can be replaced easily or removed for use in future designs.
- I2C and SPI pins are left available for future expansion.
- 2 stepper motor for Z axis in parallel
Features:
- Standard interfaces (as that of the extruder)
- Reserved GCI like I2C and RS232
- MOSFET 3 MOSFET is applied to the heater/ fan and thermistor circuit.
- Another 5A was added to protect the component parts.
- An 11A fuse is added to the hotbed.
- Support 5 stepper drive board
- The adoption of Pin Header as Pololu makes it more convenient to repair or change.
- I2C and SPI are reserved for expanding
- All the MOSFET can be controlled by PWM
- Use the interface of the servo motor to adjust the level of the printing platform automatically.
- Adding an SD module for the SD ramps module.
- LED can indicate the status of the heater (the opening and close of MOS).
- Expandable to control other accessories.
Caution:
- Please read the technical parameters of the board carefully before you use it;
- Only connect the mega2560 board with the computer via the USB cable while programming firmware;
- Reversed connection of the power supply or the motor driver may cause the board to burn, please confirm again before power is on;
- Only power on the Ramps 1.4 while testing the product, supply power to the mega2560 board may cause burning the board;
- Select the appropriate load according to the board voltage/current requirement, if the work current exceeds the load of the board it may cause the board to burn.
Software:
- Compiling environment: Arduino IDE
- Firmware: Marlin
- PC software: Print run, Repetier-Host
