Description:

This 5 mm LED Assorted Kit (100 pcs) includes 20 LEDs each in white, yellow, red, green, and blue — an ideal selection for hobbyists, students, and makers. These classic through-hole LEDs are perfect for prototyping, indicators, art projects, Arduino builds, signage, and more.

Specifications:

  • LED type: 5 mm through-hole diode
  • Total count: 100 pcs
  • Forward current: ~ 20 mA typical
  • Forward voltage: Red/Yellow ~ 2.0–2.2 V; Green/Blue/White ~ 3.0–3.3 V
  • Lens Colour: Diffusion
  • Lens type: Diffused or clear (depends on batch)
  • Lead type / spacing: Straight leads, suitable for breadboards / 0.1 in spacing
  • Operating Voltage: 1.8V~3.0V
  • Operating Current: 20mA

Features:

  • 100 total LEDs: 20 pcs each in five colors (white, red, yellow, green, blue)
  • Standard 5 mm diameter
  • Through-hole leads (suitable for breadboards & PCBs)
  • Low forward current (typical ~ 20 mA)
  • Each LED color has its own forward voltage region:
      * Red / Yellow: ~2.0–2.2 V
      * Green / Blue / White: ~3.0–3.3 V (approximately)
  • Diffused or clear lens options depending on batch
  • Wide application in electronics and DIY

Applications:

  • Indicator lights / status LEDs
  • Arduino / microcontroller projects
  • Prototyping on breadboards / PCBs
  • Decorative lighting, model building
  • Educational electronics kits / experiments

Usage & Best Practices:

  • Always use a current-limiting resistor (e.g. 220 Ω to 1 kΩ) with each LED to avoid damage.
  • Observe polarity: longer lead = anode (+), shorter = cathode (–).
  • For white / blue / green LEDs, provide a suitable voltage (e.g. 3 V or more) due to higher forward voltage.
  • Avoid running LEDs at maximum current continuously; 10–15 mA is often adequate.
  • Use diffused lenses for wider viewing angles, clear lenses for more focused light.

Package Included:

  • 20 × White 5 mm LED
  • 20 × Red 5 mm LED
  • 20 × Yellow 5 mm LED
  • 20 × Green 5 mm LED
  • 20 × Blue 5 mm LED
