Description:
10K Ohm Resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic circuits, a 10K Ohm Resistor is used to reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission lines, among other uses. High-power resistors that can dissipate many watts of electrical power as heat may be used as part of motor controls, in power distribution systems, or as generator test loads. Fixed resistors have resistances that only change slightly with temperature, time or operating voltage.

How to Calculate:
The Resistor Colour Code system is all well and good but we need to understand how to apply it to get the resistor's correct value. The “left hand” or the most significant coloured band is the band which is nearest to a connecting lead with the colour-coded bands being read from left to right as follows:
Digit, Digit, Multiplier = Colour, Colour x 10 colors in Ohm’s (Ω)
