The SparkFun "Time-of-Flight" Range Finder is an advanced sensor board featuring the VL6180 distance sensor. Unlike traditional distance sensors that measure range based on reflected light intensity or angles, the VL6180 utilizes a highly accurate clock to calculate the time it takes for light to travel to a surface and return.

 This time-of-flight (ToF) approach offers superior accuracy and greater immunity to noise compared to other distance-sensing methods, making the ToF Range Finder an ideal solution for precise and reliable distance measurements.
